What’s Onomatopoeia Mean? – Another Question from My Daughters

Every night my children (ages 4 and 5) ask us all kinds of interesting concerns. Some of them are about things that I have not believed about in a long time. Some of them arent simple to respond to in a method that they can comprehend.

On a related note, Next Vista for Learning hosts an excellent video explanation of onomatopoeia. The video was produced by a high school trainee for one of Next Vistas numerous trainee video production contests.

After dinner and my rather unsuccessful description of onomatopoeia, I turned to YouTube to look for a video that might help my daughters better comprehend what onomatopoeia is. Thats where I discovered this adorable and brief video about onomatopoeia. Ill warn you, the song is kind of catchy (if youre a five-year-old)..
