C-SPAN’s StudentCam Contest is Back

This years contest timely is a terrific one to include into a government and or U.S. History class. Even if your students do not get in the contest, the question is an excellent one to ponder. It can also be used ot introduce ideas about state vs. federal powers.

StudentCam video contest for intermediate school and high school trainees in the United States. The 2021/22 variation of the contest has been revealed and this years topic is “How does the federal government impact your life?”.
The StudentCam contest is open to trainees in sixth through twelfth grade. There is a classification for middle school (grades 6-8) and high school (grades 9-12). Students can send private work or operate in groups of as much as three members. All videos must be in between 5 and 6 minutes in length. The incoporation of C-SPAN video footage is encouraged..
The contest due date is January 20, 2022. All videos must include some C-SPAN video. This year more than $100,000 in rewards will be awarded.
