Minnesota is the home of Learners Edge and cold winters. The biggest school district in the state closes schools when the wind chill is -40 degrees or the temperature is -25 degrees, and periodically, the Governor will close all schools. When trainees are stuck within, we know how long winter can be. They get restless, have lots of energy, and may have a hard time to manage their habits. These aspects can make teaching and learning challenging.
