Stanley Black & Decker and Discovery Education Announce 2021 Making for Good Challenge Winners

Silver Spring, Md. (Thursday, April 29, 2021)– Today, 3 students throughout the United States are recognized for ingenious solutions to ecological and societal issues as winners of the Stanley Black & & Decker and Discovery Education 2021 Making for Good Challenge. Working individually or in teams of 2-4, high school trainees across the country developed 60-90 2nd videos laying out ingenious options to ecological or social issues.

The yearly challenge builds on a Stanley Black & & Decker and Discovery Education academic program– Innovation Generation– igniting, engaging, and empowering trainees to become innovators through no-cost vibrant digital resources. Through real-world explorations of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM), Innovation Generation cultivates trainees collaboration, problem solving, and creativity.

The winning 2021 Making for Good Challenge groups and treasuring are as follows:

Prize: $15,000 and a Stanley Black & & Decker Prize Pack

Nehal S., a 9th grader from Coppell Independent School District in Coppell, TX.

Third Place: $5,000 and a Stanley Black & & Decker Prize Pack.
