Google Sites can be a great platform for students to use to preserve digital portfolios. In truth, I did that in 2015 with my computer technology concepts trainees. The difficulty for a teacher when students use Google Sites for portfolios is keeping an eye on updates to those portfolios..

The technique that I created to keep an eye on updates that trainees made to their Google Sites was to create a weekly upgrade task in Google Classroom. Then weekly trainees included a new page to their websites. They then had to respond to the project with a link to the new pages they made in their Google Sites..
In this short video I demonstrate how to track updates to trainees Google Sites by utilizing Google Classroom assignments. The video shows a teachers point of view and it reveals a trainees perspective of this method..
