Why durable skills are the next big thing

These are some of the distinct information points provided in The High Demand for Durable Skills. As defined in the new report, long lasting abilities are the soft skills that make up crucial professional abilities (management, critical thinking, interaction, etc) and individual qualities (imagination, mindfulness, perseverance, and so on) that last throughout an entire career.

These “soft” abilities were requested in more than 50 million job ads– nearly two-thirds of those studied. One-third of tasks (29 million) requested at least 3 durable skills, and of the 10 most in-demand skills across all posts, 7 were durable abilities. The leading 5 long lasting abilities were asked for practically 4 times more than the top 5 other skills.
