Where I’d Like to Go – An Icebreaker With Google Drawings

As the new school year starts many you may find yourself looking for some new concepts to start a conversation and get to understand your new students while they likewise get to know each other. One thing that Ive always asked my students is “where on the planet would you go if you could go anywhere today?” Recently, Ive begun considering turning that concern into the prompt for an activity in which students discover a bit about
Google Drawings..

As I discuss in the video above, you can modify this activity to be finished with Google Slides or Google Jamboard. And, as is also shown in the video above, you can utilize Google Classroom to distribute a template for the task.

The concept is to have trainees essentially position themselves anywhere in the world through the usage of Google Drawings. To do this students first need to find an image of themselves and get rid of the background from it. Once they have a photo of themselves then students open Google Drawings where they place a photo of place that they desire to revisit or check out.
