Where I’d Like to Go – An Icebreaker With Google Drawings

The idea is to have trainees essentially position themselves anywhere in the world through the use of Google Drawings. To do this trainees first need to discover a photo of themselves and remove the background from it. Once they have a photo of themselves then students open Google Drawings where they place an image of place that they want to go to or review.

As I point out in the video above, you can modify this activity to be completed with Google Slides or Google Jamboard. And, as is also shown in the video above, you can utilize Google Classroom to disperse a design template for the task.

As the brand-new school year starts lots of you may find yourself trying to find some originalities to get and break the ice to understand your new trainees while they also get to understand each other. Something that Ive always asked my students is “where on the planet would you go if you could go anywhere today?” Just recently, Ive started considering turning that concern into the prompt for an activity in which trainees find out a bit about
Google Drawings..
