What’s Onomatopoeia Mean? – Another Question from My Daughters

On an associated note, Next Vista for Learning hosts a terrific video explanation of onomatopoeia. The video was produced by a high school student for among Next Vistas many trainee video development contests.

Every night my children (ages 4 and 5) ask us all kinds of interesting questions. Some of them are about things that I have not believed about in a long time. Some of them arent simple to respond to in a method that they can comprehend.

After dinner and my rather unsuccessful explanation of onomatopoeia, I turned to YouTube to search for a video that might help my daughters better understand what onomatopoeia is. Thats where I found this short and cute video about onomatopoeia. Ill warn you, the tune is type of catchy (if youre a five-year-old)..
