We’ve Got Worms! And More Questions from My Daughters

One of the worms my children found this week was chosen up by my 5 years of age who put it in bucket. Her younger sister then named the worm Suzy. Now for the last couple of days theyve been including dirt, water, and yard into the pail to look after Suzy every morning and afternoon..
Suzy has actually been the motivation for a bunch of concerns about worms this week. Ive had to try to describe answers to the following:.

What do worms eat?
Do worms have infants?
Do worms hibernate?

Earlier today we had some relatively warm days and were able to do a little spring yard work. My children like to try to assist with a few of it. Like a lot of 4 and five year old kids, they rapidly get distracted. Such was the case when they discovered some worms under some leaves in our backyard..
