We’re Counting Birds! – A Lesson in Citizen Science and Canva Template Creation

This consists of counting birds all throughout the state in all seasons. To get my children thrilled about writing down our observations of birds at our feeders, I used Canva to put together a little more eye-catching Winter Bird Observation sheet. I developed the type by picking a Canva worksheet style template then swapping out some of the decorative aspects for the bird illustrations. eBird is a Cornell Lab of Ornithology project that welcomes bird observations from everyone.
Task Noah is another collaborative task to which you and your trainees can contribute observations of animals in your neighborhood.
