VHS Learning Elects Dr. Yolanda D. Johnson to its Board of Directors

A passionate teacher, Dr. Johnson supports educational management advancement, scholarship, service, and helping students envision and achieve their postsecondary objectives. She is a champion for instructional equity and works to create greater college and career chances for under-represented trainees.

Dr. Johnson holds a B.A. in Psychology from Westfield State College, an MSW from the University of Connecticut, a Certificate of Advance Study from Springfield College, and an Ed.D. from The University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Dr. Johnson currently functions as the Executive Officer for Student Services at Springfield Public Schools, where she oversees school therapy and social work services, dropout prevention and graduation enhancement methods, and college gain access to and success initiatives. In her position, Dr. Johnson carries out a range of programs that boost quality, scholarship, achievement, and equity for all students.
