Tract – Project-based, Peer-to-Peer Learning

Disclosure: System is a marketer on FreeTech4Teachers.com

System is a brand-new service that provides fun lessons for primary school and intermediate school students taught by high school and college trainees. The lessons and corresponding activities cover a broad array of enjoyable and interesting subjects. On Tract you will discover lessons about photography, video gaming, cooking, music, sports, and far more. Students can make digital and physical prizes for finishing the lessons and their matching activities.

System is designed so that trainees (age 8+ is advised) can complete the lessons and matching activities, called objectives, on their own. Naturally, there may be some activities that some students require a little help to complete. As a teacher you can develop your own Tract account and enjoy your students progress to know when they may require a little aid from you.

20% Time, Genius Hour, or Just Plain Fun!The core concept behind Tract is for students to find out from other students. The principles and topics taught in Tract are chosen by students for trainees.

Students earn digital coins for completing each path. Courses that have more objectives earn more coins than those that have less objectives. Students can redeem their coins for physical and digital prizes. With the exception of Tract swag (tee t-shirts and hats) all of the rewards are digital prizes that benefit others. For instance, trainees can redeem 250 coins to make a contribution of one meal by means of Second Harvest of Silicon Valley toward the UN Sustainable Development Goal of absolutely no hunger..

Some paths have several videos and missions for trainees to finish. Trainees complete missions by submitting a file as an example of their work or by composing a response. For instance, in the course about nature photography trainees enjoy a video lesson that details how to take better photographs. Then to complete the missions they publish 2 images that they have actually taken that show their usage of the strategies taught in the video.
