Winter is an exceptional time to find and determine animal tracks. Trainees can look for nests in trees or find how animals in their region survive winter.

Teach students survival abilities. “Survival skills” may consist of dressing appropriately for winter season or how to follow GPS coordinates.

You can even have older children teach younger children how to do these things as a mentorship opportunity.

Minnesota is the house of Learners Edge and cold winter seasons.
