In choosing its 2021 Next Generation of Afterschool Leaders, the National AfterSchool Association looked for to highlight emerging young leaders who are active in the wider afterschool community, show contributions that have begun to affect beyond private programs to whole organizations and neighborhoods, are actively participated in efforts to raise the afterschool field, have a proven passion for the advancement of themselves and others, and show persistence in their work to grow as leaders.

Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, Welderufael wanted to data to help address a few of Think Togethers most important priorities, that include addressing learning loss for the states hardest-hit trainees. Her dedication to establishing a culture committed to comprehending data and how it can be evaluated to enhance program quality made her the visit of Think Togethers organization-wide summertime planning committee data lead.

The National AfterSchool Association is the expert membership association that promotes positive youth outcomes by supporting, establishing, and promoting for afterschool specialists and leaders.

Welderufael joined Think Together in 2018 as the Regional Operations Analyst for the San Bernardino Region. In her role, she manages the compliance, evaluation, information collection and training for among Think Togethers biggest regions that includes 91 schools throughout seven school districts.
