The Story Behind QWERTY – Why Keyboards Aren’t in Alphabetical Order
Thinking back to my middle school typing class (done on electrical typewriters, not computer systems) I keep in mind questioning why the keyboard wasnt organized in alphabetical order. I understood that the answer was related to the frequency of usage of specific letters and also the early constraints of typewriter keyboard configurations.
