Thinking back to my middle school typing class (done on electric typewriters, not computer systems) I keep in mind wondering why the keyboard wasnt set up in alphabetical order. I understood that the response was related to the frequency of usage of specific letters and likewise the early restrictions of typewriter keyboard configurations.
