The Story Behind QWERTY – Why Keyboards Aren’t in Alphabetical Order
Thinking back to my middle school typing class (done on electrical typewriters, not computer systems) I keep in mind wondering why the keyboard wasnt set up in alphabetical order. I knew that the response was related to the frequency of usage of specific letters and also the early limitations of typewriter keyboard configurations.
