The Story Behind QWERTY – Why Keyboards Aren’t in Alphabetical Order
Thinking back to my middle school typing class (done on electrical typewriters, not computers) I keep in mind wondering why the keyboard wasnt set up in alphabetical order. I understood that the answer was related to the frequency of use of particular letters and also the early restrictions of typewriter keyboard configurations.
