Thinking back to my middle school typing class (done on electrical typewriters, not computers) I keep in mind questioning why the keyboard wasnt set up in alphabetical order. I knew that the response was related to the frequency of usage of specific letters and likewise the early constraints of typewriter keyboard setups.
