Reflecting to my intermediate school typing class (done on electric typewriters, not computers) I keep in mind questioning why the keyboard wasnt arranged in alphabetical order. I was just recently reminded of that when my five-year-old asked me the exact same question. I knew that the response was connected to the frequency of use of certain letters and likewise the early limitations of typewriter keyboard setups.
