Stanley Black & Decker and Discovery Education Announce 2021 Making for Good Challenge Winners

Silver Spring, Md. (Thursday, April 29, 2021)– Today, 3 students across the United States are recognized for ingenious options to environmental and social issues as winners of the Stanley Black & & Decker and Discovery Education 2021 Making for Good Difficulty. Working individually or in groups of 2-4, high school trainees across the country developed 60-90 2nd videos describing innovative services to social or ecological issues.

The yearly challenge constructs upon a Stanley Black & & Decker and Discovery Education curriculum– Innovation Generation– sparking, engaging, and empowering students to become innovators through no-cost vibrant digital resources. Through real-world explorations of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM), Innovation Generation cultivates trainees cooperation, problem resolving, and imaginative thinking.

The winning 2021 Making for Good Challenge teams and prizing are as follows:

First Prize: $15,000 and a Stanley Black & & Decker Prize Pack

Jiwoong P., a 12th grader from Westminster School in Simsbury, CT

Third Place: $5,000 and a Stanley Black & & Decker Prize Pack.
