Stanley Black & Decker and Discovery Education Announce 2021 Making for Good Challenge Winners

Silver Spring, Md. (Thursday, April 29, 2021)– Today, three trainees throughout the United States are acknowledged for innovative solutions to societal and ecological problems as winners of the Stanley Black & & Decker and Discovery Education 2021 Making for Excellent Challenge. Working separately or in teams of 2-4, high school trainees nationwide created 60-90 second videos laying out ingenious options to societal or environmental issues.

The yearly difficulty constructs upon a Stanley Black & & Decker and Discovery Education educational program– Innovation Generation– sparking, engaging, and empowering students to become innovators through no-cost vibrant digital resources. Through real-world expeditions of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM), Innovation Generation cultivates trainees partnership, issue fixing, and creativity.

The winning 2021 Making for Good Challenge teams and prizing are as follows:

First Prize: $15,000 and a Stanley Black & & Decker Prize Pack

Esha A., a 11th grader from Wake County Northwester School District in Raleigh, NC.

Nehal S., a 9th grader from Coppell Independent School District in Coppell, TX.
