As we head into winter season (in the northern hemisphere) there might be more chances to try new techniques to online and hybrid learning. Among those brand-new techniques to try is utilizing
System. Tract is a service that I wish I had access to in 2015 when my school was changing in between in-person, online, and hybrid guideline on what seemed like a weekly basis.

System does not limit trainees to just viewing and finishing learning paths. Students are also encouraged to take part in producing their own learning paths. In November I described that process in this blog post. By developing videos and challenges for discovering paths of their own design, students are able to display their understanding of preferred topics and share their understanding with schoolmates and the world at big. For many trainees creating a discovering course about a subject of personal interest will be a welcome variance from producing tasks about a prescribed topic. In other words, trainees get to be the expert and share their proficiency with a “real life” audience.

As the preceding paragraph implies, high school trainees can contribute to Tract by producing their own video lessons for others to gain from. Lessons can be developed for simply about any topic that students have an interest in teaching to others (provided its school-appropriate).

Trainees can create Tract learning paths about a favorite subject at home and or in your classroom. Creating Tract knowing courses about subjects related to computer system science (all of my students chose to be in the class) would have been a terrific activity for hybrid knowing.

Trainees can develop Tract knowing courses about a preferred subject at house and or in your class. A trainee producing a discovering course about bicycle upkeep can utilize his or her own bike as a prop in a video.

Students could develop content for their knowing courses on their own then check-in with me for feedback on what they were developing.

Tract is a new service that released this past summer. It provides fun lessons for grade school, intermediate school, high school students taught by high school and college students. Another advantage of having trainees produce a Tract learning course is that you get to see how they arrange their thoughts about a topic or procedure. The process of reviewing students knowing courses offers some insight into what a trainee thinks is the most crucial part of a chosen subject and what they think is the finest way to describe that topic.

Lastly, even if trainees only use Tract to view the lessons and do the obstacles produced by other students, there is still an excellent benefit for you. That benefit is getting to see what your students are really thinking about beyond what they need to provide for your class.
