SESI Kids Win Big! SESI Crixas TEAM from Brazil Are CoderZ League Champions in the Global Virtual Coding & Robotics Competition

During the world finals, SESIs trainees completed virtually with teams from USA, Ghana, Singapore, and Hong Kong– before ultimately winning the title of world champions for the CoderZ League Junior Division.

Wisley João Pereira, Executive Director of SESI, describes how CoderZ helps SESI to advance its future vision: “When we introduced the CoderZ platform and league, it was a really crucial junction. CoderZ integrates its curriculum theory and practice, so trainees can develop real services to real issues. CoderZ League played a particularly considerable function in motivating trainees to say, “we will do this because the entire world is participating, and we are being challenged to come up with real-life services.”

In between October 2021 and January 2022, over 50 groups from throughout Brazil got involved in the CoderZ League, a global virtual robotics competitors. Erica Soares Tavares, instructor of the winning group, shares the impact made on her students: “It was a big surprise to get to the finals. The feeling for the students is priceless. Their personal abilities and the technical proficiency, were also strengthening robotics in the school, robotics in SESI, in our country.

This is the second year that SESI is incorporating CoderZ in 27 DRs throughout the nation. As part of the execution procedure, over 400 teachers were certified to teach the CoderZ curriculum to over 80,000 trainees between the 10th and 4th grades.
