As a prominent school network in Brazil and Latin America, SESI implements innovative options to meet its vision. One of them is CoderZ, a gamified coding platform that makes it simple for anyone to learn, teach, and compete, using robotics to bring STEM to life!

DERRY, N.H– Feb. 23, 2022– SESI, Brazils Social Service of Industry (SESI), had a vision: To equip the kids in their network of more than 400 schools in all 27 states with the technological abilities, knowledge, and tools to become the leaders of tomorrow– the age of Market 4.0.

Between October 2021 and January 2022, over 50 teams from throughout Brazil got involved in the CoderZ League, an international virtual robotics competition. Wisley João Pereira, Executive Director of SESI, discusses how CoderZ helps SESI to advance its future vision: “When we introduced the CoderZ platform and league, it was a really important junction. CoderZ integrates its curriculum theory and practice, so trainees can develop genuine solutions to real problems. CoderZ is an online code-learning platform that utilizes 3D robotics to bring coding and STEM learning to life. Throughout the world finals, SESIs students completed virtually with teams from USA, Ghana, Singapore, and Hong Kong– before eventually winning the title of world champions for the CoderZ League Junior Division.

Katia Aparecida Marangon Barbosa, Technological Education Manager in SESI, sees a direct connection between SESI students CoderZ experience and the future job market requires: “The abilities the trainees develop of team effort and harmonizing, each one with their own differences, however with the ability to interact– this is a differential. Its a required ability in the market.”.

Between October 2021 and January 2022, over 50 teams from across Brazil got involved in the CoderZ League, an international virtual robotics competitors. All groups collaborated to solve challenges and objectives, while the leading rivals advanced to the Brazilian playoffs. Group Takamassa Numuro, from SESI Crixás in Goiás (GO), advanced to the world champion which was broadcast live to audiences from all over the world.

As part of the execution procedure, over 400 instructors were certified to teach the CoderZ curriculum to over 80,000 students in between the 10th and 4th grades.

This is the second year that SESI is incorporating CoderZ in 27 DRs across the country.
