SESI Kids Win Big! SESI Crixas TEAM from Brazil Are CoderZ League Champions in the Global Virtual Coding & Robotics Competition

Throughout the world finals, SESIs students contended essentially with groups from USA, Ghana, Singapore, and Hong Kong– before eventually winning the title of world champions for the CoderZ League Junior Division.

Erica Soares Tavares, instructor of the winning team, shares the impact made on her students: “It was a huge surprise to get to the finals. Its like winning the World Cup, but for robotics! The feeling for the students is valuable. Besides their individual skills and the technical competence, were likewise enhancing robotics in the school, robotics in SESI, in our nation. We notice that its working, were on the best course. And this is the lasting effect I see.”

As part of the application process, over 400 instructors were accredited to teach the CoderZ curriculum to over 80,000 trainees between the 4th and 10th grades.

Group Takamassa Numuro, from SESI Crixás in Goiás (GO), advanced to the world championship which was transmitted live to audiences from all over the world.

Katia Aparecida Marangon Barbosa, Technological Education Manager in SESI, sees a direct correlation between SESI trainees CoderZ experience and the future task market needs: “The skills the students develop of team effort and harmonizing, every one with their own differences, however with the capability to interact– this is a differential. DERRY, N.H– Feb. 23, 2022– SESI, Brazils Social Service of Industry (SESI), had a vision: To equip the kids in their network of more than 400 schools in all 27 states with the technological skills, knowledge, and tools to become the leaders of tomorrow– the age of Market 4.0.

This is the second year that SESI is incorporating CoderZ in 27 DRs across the country. As part of the application procedure, over 400 teachers were certified to teach the CoderZ curriculum to over 80,000 trainees in between the 10th and 4th grades.
