National Geographic and NASA Collaborate on Exclusive Mars AR Activation for @natgeo Instagram
The Mars AR activation follows the launch of National Geographics March problem, which explores our fascination with the red world, and includes an extraordinary immersive experience, readily available online at the National Geographic area center, natgeo.com/space.
The excitement of NASAs Determination rover touching down on Mars continues with National Geographics brand-new enhanced reality (AR) experience on the @natgeo Instagram account. In what is another historic minute, National Geographic is offering users among the first chances to be the Determination rover through this brand-new Mars AR activation, which uses an immersive 360 look at the panorama from the robotics viewpoint (and even lets you take a selfie with the rover!).

This is National Geographics fourth Spark AR task. To see others, look for Spinosaurus, Climb Everest, and the World in 2070.

To increase the accuracy of the immersive experience, National Geographic collaboratedwith NASA on the Mars AR activation, speaking with scientists and engineers who worked to construct the rover and design, consisting of Roger Weins (SUPERCAM), Christina Diaz (PIXL), and Jim Bell (Mastcam-Z).
Through this brand-new activation, Instagram users can expect to genuinely become one with the rover, translucenting its eyes, observing its first panorama, searching for ancient indications of life on the red world, and running its extremities.
