I helped countless instructors and their students produce class websites with Weebly for Education. This early morning I got the news through e-mail that Weebly (now owned by Square) has chosen to
shutter Weebly for Education in 2022. This will happen on August 1, 2022. If youre using Weebly for Education today, you have lots of time to prepare for what youll utilize as a replacement (I recommend
Edublogs or Google Sites)..

Weebly for Education hasnt had any updates in a couple of years so its not unexpected that it is being closed down. It supplied a good way for trainees to produce their own sites that instructors could actively monitor.
Now that Weebly for Education is closing and Google has officially left out Blogger from Google Workspace for Education (for those under 18), the only excellent blogging alternative for trainees that I can recommend now is Edublogs unless you wish to go the route of self-hosting. And if you were using Weebly for Education for digital portfolios I d recommend having a look at Google Sites, Spaces, or Seesaw.
