Previously today when I was inspecting the weather report on
NOAA.gov I discovered a banner revealing that
this week is Sea Turtle Week. Prior to that I didnt know that there is a Sea Turtle Week. None-the-less it reminded me of the time that I experienced sea turtles nesting in Costa Rica and it triggered me to take a look at some resources for teaching and finding out about sea turtles. Heres what I discovered.

Sea Turtles 101 is a video from National Geographics 101 series. As you might anticipate, the video covers the fundamentals of the life and development of sea turtles, the number and type of sea turtles, recreation of sea turtles, and the ecological obstacles facing sea turtles today. While not extremely interesting, the video is brief and informative.

Google Arts and Culture Turtle Stories
Google Arts and Culture provides this collection of images and videos about 5 various kinds of sea turtles discovered off the coast of Brazil. The images is good but the collection is a little light on information.

7 Sea Turtle Facts
7 Sea Turtle Facts is an informative page published by NOAA. The page consists of a number of videos about sea turtle environment, life, and ecological difficulties facing sea turtles.

Traveling Turtles
Taking a trip Turtles is an ESRI Story Map, produced by NOAA, about three kinds of sea turtles found in the waters around Cape Cod and how individuals work to rescue cold-stunned sea turtles on the beaches of Cape Cod.
