Earlier today when I was inspecting the weather report on
NOAA.gov I saw a banner revealing that
today is Sea Turtle Week. Prior to that I didnt understand that there is a Sea Turtle Week. None-the-less it reminded me of the time that I saw sea turtles nesting in Costa Rica and it triggered me to take a look at some resources for teaching and discovering sea turtles. Heres what I found.

Sea Turtles 101 is a video from National Geographics 101 series. As you may expect, the video covers the essentials of the life and development of sea turtles, the number and kind of sea turtles, reproduction of sea turtles, and the environmental difficulties facing sea turtles today. While not terribly appealing, the video is brief and helpful.

7 Sea Turtle Facts is an informative page published by NOAA. The page consists of a number of videos about sea turtle habitat, life, and ecological obstacles dealing with sea turtles.

Traveling Turtles
Traveling Turtles is an ESRI Story Map, produced by NOAA, about 3 types of sea turtles discovered in the waters around Cape Cod and how individuals work to save cold-stunned sea turtles on the beaches of Cape Cod.
