Sea Turtles 101

Previously today when I was checking the weather projection on
NOAA.gov I saw a banner revealing that
this week is Sea Turtle Week. Prior to that I didnt understand that there is a Sea Turtle Week. None-the-less it advised me of the time that I saw sea turtles nesting in Costa Rica and it triggered me to look at some resources for teaching and learning about sea turtles. Heres what I found.

Google Arts and Culture Turtle Stories
Google Arts and Culture provides this collection of images and videos about 5 various types of sea turtles discovered off the coast of Brazil. The imagery is great however the collection is a little light on info.

Sea Turtles 101 is a video from National Geographics 101 series. As you may anticipate, the video covers the fundamentals of the life and development of sea turtles, the number and type of sea turtles, reproduction of sea turtles, and the ecological difficulties facing sea turtles today. While not awfully appealing, the video is brief and informative.

7 Sea Turtle Facts is an informative page published by NOAA. The page includes a couple of videos about sea turtle environment, life, and environmental difficulties facing sea turtles.
