Increasing Inclusivity in the Classroom

As we grow, we discover not everyone experiences the world in the exact same method, and life can be challenging for individuals who have been historically marginalized like those in the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, plus (LGBT+) community. In course 5143: Creating Safe and Supportive Spaces for LGBT+ Youth, educators will expand their understanding and awareness about methods to support and champion students who identify as LGBT+. In addition, teachers will expand their understanding about allyship, produce scripts for challenging conversations, find methods to handle a range of scenarios, and increase the inclusivity of the knowing environment. Check out the lived experiences of the LGBT+ neighborhood and apply brand-new understanding to ensure all students see themselves represented in the class, community, and school.
