I’m Feeling Lucky – A Google Earth Lesson

From trips to video games to simple measuring tools, the web variation of
Google Earth has a lot of neat features that can assist trainees learn more about the world. Among those cool features is the “Im Feeling Lucky” button that is discovered on the left hand toolbar in Google Earth. Clicking that button will take students to a randomly-selected place on the planet..

On its own the “Im Feeling Lucky” button supplies a great method for trainees to discover brand-new places. That stated, trainees find out more through the “Im Feeling Lucky” button if you provide a little more direction than just “click the button and take a look around.” Thats why I created a little concern sheet to prompt trainees to do a little research study about the places they find in Google Earth via “Im Feeling Lucky.” My concern sheet can be found here as a Google Doc..
This brief video demonstrates how students can check out Google Earth in more detail after clicking “Im Feeling Lucky.”.
