To read more about using Google Earth in your class, take an appearance at my Crash Course in Google Earth & & Maps for Social Studies.

From trips to games to basic measuring tools, the web variation of
Google Earth has a lot of neat features that can help students discover the world. One of those cool functions is the “Im Feeling Lucky” button that is found on the left hand toolbar in Google Earth. Clicking that button will take trainees to a randomly-selected place in the world..

By itself the “Im Feeling Lucky” button supplies an excellent way for students to find brand-new locations. That stated, trainees discover more through the “Im Feeling Lucky” button if you provide them a little more direction than simply “click the button and look around.” Thats why I produced a little question sheet to trigger trainees to do a little research study about the places they discover in Google Earth by means of “Im Feeling Lucky.” My question sheet can be found here as a Google Doc..
This short video demonstrates how students can check out Google Earth in more information after clicking “Im Feeling Lucky.”.
