I’m Feeling Lucky – A Google Earth Lesson

From trips to games to easy measuring tools, the web version of
Google Earth has a great deal of neat functions that can help students discover about the world. Among those cool features is the “Im Feeling Lucky” button that is found on the left hand toolbar in Google Earth. Clicking that button will take students to a randomly-selected location worldwide..

On its own the “Im Feeling Lucky” button offers a great way for trainees to discover new locations. That stated, students find out more through the “Im Feeling Lucky” button if you give them a little more direction than simply “click the button and look around.” Thats why I created a little question sheet to prompt students to do a little research about the locations they discover in Google Earth via “Im Feeling Lucky.” My concern sheet can be discovered here as a Google Doc..
