I’m Feeling Lucky – A Google Earth Lesson

From trips to games to simple measuring tools, the web variation of
Google Earth has a great deal of cool functions that can help trainees discover the world. Among those neat functions is the “Im Feeling Lucky” button that is discovered on the left hand toolbar in Google Earth. Clicking that button will take trainees to a randomly-selected location in the world..

By itself the “Im Feeling Lucky” button offers a good way for trainees to find brand-new places. That said, trainees discover more through the “Im Feeling Lucky” button if you provide them a bit more instructions than just “click the button and browse.” Thats why I produced a little question sheet to trigger students to do a little research study about the places they find in Google Earth via “Im Feeling Lucky.” My concern sheet can be found here as a Google Doc..
This brief video shows how trainees can explore Google Earth in more detail after clicking “Im Feeling Lucky.”.
