I’m Feeling Lucky – A Google Earth Lesson

From trips to games to easy measuring tools, the web variation of
Google Earth has a lot of cool functions that can assist trainees discover the world. One of those neat features is the “Im Feeling Lucky” button that is found on the left hand toolbar in Google Earth. Clicking that button will take students to a randomly-selected place worldwide..

On its own the “Im Feeling Lucky” button supplies a great method for trainees to find brand-new places. That said, students find out more through the “Im Feeling Lucky” button if you provide a little bit more direction than simply “click the button and look around.” Thats why I developed a little concern sheet to prompt students to do a little research about the places they find in Google Earth by means of “Im Feeling Lucky.” My question sheet can be found here as a Google Doc..
