I’m Feeling Lucky – A Google Earth Lesson

From voyages to games to easy measuring tools, the web version of
Google Earth has a great deal of cool functions that can help trainees learn more about the world. Among those neat functions is the “Im Feeling Lucky” button that is discovered on the left hand toolbar in Google Earth. Clicking that button will take trainees to a randomly-selected place in the world..

By itself the “Im Feeling Lucky” button offers an excellent way for trainees to discover new places. That said, students learn more through the “Im Feeling Lucky” button if you provide a little bit more instructions than just “click the button and take a look around.” Thats why I created a little question sheet to prompt students to do a little research study about the locations they discover in Google Earth through “Im Feeling Lucky.” My question sheet can be found here as a Google Doc..
This brief video demonstrates how students can explore Google Earth in more information after clicking “Im Feeling Lucky.”.
