If You Care About Copyright, Stop Using Blog Lovin’

As very long time fans of my blog site and Twitter account understand, copyright is a topic that I am passionate about. Thats largely due to the amount of sites that steal my deal with a day-to-day basis. Some of them, like the popular Bloglovin service, claim that theyre not doing anything incorrect and are really helping blog writers get more exposure. Both of those claims are false..

Bloglovin isnt helping bloggers at all. By republishing whole posts without approval theyre breaking the initial authors copyright. By republishing entire posts they are getting rid of any incentive to check out the real source of the post which negates Bloglovins claim that theyre assisting bloggers get more direct exposure..
Google agrees with me on this as evidenced by the fact that every time I submit a DMCA takedown notification with Google they get rid of the offending Bloglovin URL from their index..
I made a brief, ranting video about this Bloglovin issue. If you like, you can see it here. Either way, stop utilizing Bloglovin to read post and rather use a service like Feedly which does things right or simply visit your preferred blogs straight..
