If You Care About Copyright, Stop Using Blog Lovin’

As long time followers of my blog and Twitter account understand, copyright is a topic that I am passionate about. Some of them, like the popular Bloglovin service, claim that theyre not doing anything wrong and are actually helping blog writers get more exposure.

Bloglovin isnt assisting bloggers at all. By republishing whole short articles without authorization theyre breaking the original authors copyright. Furthermore, by republishing entire articles they are removing any incentive to go to the actual source of the post which negates Bloglovins claim that theyre assisting blog writers get more direct exposure..
Google agrees with me on this as evidenced by the fact that each time I submit a DMCA takedown notification with Google they eliminate the offending Bloglovin URL from their index..
I made a brief, ranting video about this Bloglovin problem. You can enjoy it here if you like. In either case, stop utilizing Bloglovin to read blog site posts and rather use a service like Feedly which does things ideal or simply visit your favorite blog sites straight..
