If You Care About Copyright, Stop Using Blog Lovin’

As long time fans of my blog and Twitter account understand, copyright is a subject that I am enthusiastic about. Thats largely due to the amount of sites that take my work on a day-to-day basis. Some of them, like the popular Bloglovin service, claim that theyre not doing anything incorrect and are actually helping blog writers get more direct exposure. Both of those claims are false..

Bloglovin isnt helping bloggers at all. By republishing entire articles without permission theyre breaking the original authors copyright. Additionally, by republishing whole posts they are getting rid of any incentive to go to the real source of the post which negates Bloglovins claim that theyre assisting bloggers get more direct exposure..
Google agrees with me on this as evidenced by the truth that every time I file a DMCA takedown notification with Google they get rid of the angering Bloglovin URL from their index..
I made a short, ranting video about this Bloglovin issue. You can see it here if you like. In any case, stop utilizing Bloglovin to read blog site posts and instead utilize a service like Feedly which does things right or simply visit your preferred blog sites directly..
