If You Care About Copyright, Stop Using Blog Lovin’

As very long time fans of my blog and Twitter account understand, copyright is a topic that I am enthusiastic about. Thats mainly due to the amount of websites that take my work on a day-to-day basis. A few of them, like the popular Bloglovin service, claim that theyre refraining from doing anything wrong and are actually assisting bloggers get more exposure. Both of those claims are incorrect..

Bloglovin isnt helping bloggers at all. By republishing whole articles without authorization theyre breaching the original authors copyright. By republishing entire articles they are getting rid of any incentive to visit the actual source of the short article which negates Bloglovins claim that theyre assisting blog writers get more direct exposure..
Google concurs with me on this as evidenced by the truth that every time I submit a DMCA takedown notice with Google they eliminate the angering Bloglovin URL from their index..
I made a brief, ranting video about this Bloglovin problem. You can enjoy it here if you like. In either case, stop utilizing Bloglovin to check out blog posts and rather use a service like Feedly which does things right or simply visit your favorite blogs directly..
