If You Care About Copyright, Stop Using Blog Lovin’

As very long time followers of my blog site and Twitter account understand, copyright is a subject that I am passionate about. Thats mostly due to the amount of websites that steal my work on a daily basis. Some of them, like the popular Bloglovin service, claim that theyre refraining from doing anything wrong and are actually helping bloggers get more exposure. Both of those claims are incorrect..

Bloglovin isnt helping blog writers at all. By republishing entire posts without permission theyre breaching the original authors copyright. In addition, by republishing whole short articles they are getting rid of any incentive to visit the actual source of the article which negates Bloglovins claim that theyre assisting blog writers get more direct exposure..
Google concurs with me on this as evidenced by the fact that whenever I file a DMCA takedown notification with Google they remove the offending Bloglovin URL from their index..
I made a brief, ranting video about this Bloglovin issue. You can view it here if you like. Either way, stop utilizing Bloglovin to check out post and rather use a service like Feedly which does things best or just visit your preferred blog sites straight..
