If You Care About Copyright, Stop Using Blog Lovin’

As long time fans of my blog and Twitter account know, copyright is a subject that I am passionate about. Some of them, like the popular Bloglovin service, claim that theyre not doing anything incorrect and are really helping blog writers get more exposure.

Bloglovin isnt assisting blog writers at all. By republishing whole short articles without approval theyre violating the initial authors copyright. Moreover, by republishing entire short articles they are removing any reward to go to the actual source of the post which negates Bloglovins claim that theyre helping bloggers get more direct exposure..
Google agrees with me on this as evidenced by the fact that every time I file a DMCA takedown notification with Google they get rid of the offending Bloglovin URL from their index..
I made a short, ranting video about this Bloglovin problem. If you like, you can enjoy it here. Either way, stop utilizing Bloglovin to read blog site posts and instead utilize a service like Feedly which does things right or just visit your favorite blogs directly..
