If You Care About Copyright, Stop Using Blog Lovin’

As very long time followers of my blog and Twitter account understand, copyright is a topic that I am passionate about. Thats mostly due to the quantity of websites that take my work on a daily basis. A few of them, like the popular Bloglovin service, claim that theyre refraining from doing anything wrong and are in fact helping bloggers get more direct exposure. Both of those claims are incorrect..

Bloglovin isnt helping bloggers at all. By republishing entire posts without consent theyre violating the initial authors copyright. By republishing entire articles they are removing any incentive to visit the real source of the short article which negates Bloglovins claim that theyre assisting bloggers get more direct exposure..
Google concurs with me on this as evidenced by the reality that whenever I file a DMCA takedown notice with Google they eliminate the offending Bloglovin URL from their index..
I made a brief, ranting video about this Bloglovin problem. You can watch it here if you like. Either way, stop utilizing Bloglovin to read blog site posts and instead use a service like Feedly which does things right or simply visit your preferred blogs directly..
