Google Sites can be a terrific platform for trainees to utilize to keep digital portfolios. In reality, I did that in 2015 with my computer system science concepts students. The obstacle for a teacher when trainees utilize Google Sites for portfolios is tracking updates to those portfolios..

The approach that I developed to monitor updates that trainees made to their Google Sites was to produce a weekly update project in Google Classroom. Then every week trainees added a new page to their sites. They then had to react to the task with a link to the new pages they made in their Google Sites..
In this brief video I show how to track updates to students Google Sites by utilizing Google Classroom tasks. The video shows a teachers viewpoint and it reveals a trainees viewpoint of this approach..
