How to Track Updates to Students’ Google Sites

Google Sites can be an excellent platform for students to utilize to preserve digital portfolios. I did that last year with my computer system science principles students. The challenge for an instructor when trainees use Google Sites for portfolios is keeping an eye on updates to those portfolios..

The approach that I created to keep track of updates that trainees made to their Google Sites was to develop a weekly upgrade assignment in Google Classroom. Then every week trainees included a brand-new page to their sites. They then had to react to the project with a link to the brand-new pages they made in their Google Sites..
In this short video I demonstrate how to monitor updates to trainees Google Sites by using Google Classroom projects. The video reveals a teachers perspective and it shows a students viewpoint of this approach..
