Hands-on Activities for Learning About Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade

Like countless other Americans the Macys Thanksgiving Parade will be on the television in my home this coming Thursday early morning. Much like in 2015 Macys is offering some.
hands-on STEAM lessons associated with the parade..

Parade 101 features four video presentations of hands-on activities that students can do at house with their parents or in your class. The four activities consist of pumping up balloons through using baking soda and vinegar, designing balloons for the parade, making and utilizing sculping dough, and building model drifts. All of the videos include lists of needed products..
I like all 4 of the activities. If I was to recommend one for Thanksgiving day it would be building design drifts or creating since they can be done with cardboard, paper, glue, markers, and other common household materials that dont make a mess and dont have actually to be done in a kitchen. That said, I believe one of the most fun one is the pumping up balloons activity..
In addition to the videos and STEAM tasks Parade 101 uses some coloring puzzles and sheets. An interactive timeline of the history of the parade is still offered to view as well..
Finally, if you are looking for some history of the Macys Thanksgiving Parade videos, take a look at the following videos that Ive shared in the past..
