Hands-on Activities for Learning About Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade

Like countless other Americans the Macys Thanksgiving Parade will be on the tv in my home this coming Thursday early morning. Similar to last year Macys is supplying some.
hands-on STEAM lessons connected to the parade..

The History of the Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Parade 101 features 4 video demonstrations of hands-on activities that students can do at house with their parents or in your classroom. The four activities consist of inflating balloons through the usage of baking soda and vinegar, creating balloons for the parade, making and utilizing sculping dough, and structure model drifts. All of the videos consist of lists of required materials..
I like all four of the activities. If I was to recommend one for Thanksgiving day it would be developing model drifts or creating since they can be made with cardboard, paper, glue, markers, and other typical household materials that dont make a mess and dont have to be carried out in a kitchen. That stated, I think the most fun one is the pumping up balloons activity..
In addition to the videos and STEAM projects Parade 101 uses some coloring puzzles and sheets. An interactive timeline of the history of the parade is still available to see as well..
